Praxia [PRAX-ee-ah] takes its name from the ancient Greek πρᾶξις — the practical wisdom Aristotle described as the highest virtue of doctors, lawyers and regulated professionals. The app was previously released under the name Dexia. The internal identifier (com.dexia.app) has been retained so existing users keep their data and subscriptions.

What Praxia Docs does

Praxia Docs is a document scanner and filing app for iPhone and iPad. You can scan paper documents, record videos, take photos, import files, organise them into folders, add notes, tags and reminders, and search your library. Files sync automatically to your other devices via iCloud Drive.

The short version

• Praxia Docs does not have a server. We don't host or see any of your documents, notes, tags, reminders, scans or text. Everything stays on your device and in your own iCloud account.
• We don't collect personal data, don't use analytics, don't have ads, don't share anything with third parties, and don't ask you to create an account.
• The only place your data ever goes is your own Apple iCloud Drive, which is controlled by your Apple ID and governed by Apple's privacy policy.

What stays on your device and in your iCloud

When you use Praxia Docs, the following information is created locally on your iPhone or iPad and stored in your private iCloud container (iCloud.com.bagouri.praxiadocs):

• The documents, photos and videos you capture or import
• File names, folder structure
• Per-document metadata you add: notes, tags, favourite flag, reminders
• Extracted text from scans (OCR), used to make documents searchable
• Calendar event identifiers for reminders you choose to add to your iOS Calendar

This data is end-to-end synced via Apple iCloud between your own Apple devices. The developer cannot read or access it. Praxia Docs folders also appear in Finder on a Mac signed into the same iCloud account, so your laptop has a local copy.
